The paranormal trinity of OLD DYING KITTY, Chance, William Feist and Phineus from The Path, William Feist: Paranormal Investigator & Phineus: Magician for Hire. Drawn by the lovely and talented Calvin Garcia!

Agnes Beam comic by Glenn Csonka
My very good friend Glenn Csonka (creator of Animal Force) is working on this old yet unfulfilled idea. Glenn and I have known each other since middle school. We were study hall cartoon buddies. Glenn taught me a lot of stuff in those early days and it was fun to have somebody to draw with.
My 5th published comic, “The Undead Hotdog Incident” had Glenn’s first “Animal Force” as a backup/flip comic.
Glenn has been wanting to do a steampunk Phineus story. While discussing what he could do, I suggested doing a prequel to Phineus using his great great grandmother , Agnes Beam. I’ve been wanting do do this for a while, but Glenn beat me to it!
It’ll be set in turn of the century Pittsburgh. Glenn is doing a lot of research of Pittsburgh history and folklore.
This makes three stories being written and drawn by others in my world. I am one lucky bastard!

October Appearances
After a self-induced appearance hiatus, and now that I have a new not zombie-fied job, I’ll be doing stuff in October!
We will be having our 24 Hour Comic Challenge on October 1st, this year, again at the Pittsburgh Toonseum. It starts at 12 noon, so come down and support us, or better, yet, come make your own!
Then, the next week, we’ll be having an independent comic expo, also presented by the Toonseum (gotta love those guys!). I missed this one last year, but I hear it’s an awesome show!

TGT Tournament
There’s a neat Tournament going down over at TGT Webcomic Podcasts. It’s a toe to toe throwdown between comic crators who have been interviewed on the show. I have the honor and difficultly of going up againnst DBEthel of Eben 07 fame!
I’ll need your help to defeat him! Head on over to TGT and vote for me! While your at it listen to My Podcast and a load of others!
New Foo!
The Foo Fighters’ new album, “Wasted Light” is probably their best effort since their first. Every song is solid, melodic and well constructed. Grohl’s song writing is in top form and with the addition of former Foo and Germs guitarist Pat Smear adds a real “Wall of Guitar” sound that really adds muscle to their already insanely catchy, clever brand of rock.
While their releases “Rope” and “White Limo” would be easy favorite songs from the album, the first track “Bridge Burning” stands out and has easily become my favorite. Guests on the album include Krist Novocelic from Nirvana and Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü , with Butch Vig as producer.
Also, check out the video for “White Limo” with Motörhead‘s Lemmy who worked with Grohl on his Probot album. Great fun!
If you don’t already own this album, go download it, now. And get the extended verlsion, the extra songs ans videos are cool.

Summer Hours
I can’t seem to get a break, right now. I’ve been fighting ever snowballing plumbing issues and the water damage caused by them. Add to that the Spring storm damage, the random softball and baseball games and all the yard work a house with an acre of property entails and work on top of it, I can’t seem to get ahead of my buffer.
So, I’m going to have to pair down my content for a month or two, while summer drags on. Expect 2 Phineus updates a week and a page a week for Bastard Who. If I can get any more done and out to you, I will. We have a buffer at Gas Light Tales, so I’m hoping that will be unaffected.
Sorry, to you guys, for this, but life sometimes gets in the way of creativity and art. Unless you guys want to buy mw out of my insentured servitude and I can quit my job, I gotta work.
Alright, guys, hang in there and I’ll catch you laters!
