Sara page 4 new letters

Hello, I redid the TV baloons on this one, I thought they looked better. What do you guys think?

It’s 3:30 am, look what I do for you!
This period in Phin’s life is an interesting one. It is just after a Death spell from Rotwang gave him a heart attack and he’s really gone to hell.

I gave him the heart attack and ended the first volume on that note, at a particularly dark time in my life, at the time I was getting divorced. To be honest I wasn’t sure if he would live or die, as I felt myself.

Ineterstingly, there are two stories, taking place right around this point, both written by others, and both have Phineus in a shower scene. Odd, that.

I really like drawing him all hobo-like because I could relate to that shitty feeling, and know that it all gets better.

Sometimes you get into a swing and draw with out realizing what you’ve drawn. Today I post two pages, or rather two versions of the same page. The first one is the first I did, I pencilled it and inked it, and realized I did it in the wrong style. I shifted into my Wierdlings style and had not noticed til it was done. The second is my redo in my usual , less cartoony Phineus style. Sleep deprivation is a real bitch!!

Hey all, I have been working like a madman, it’s now 11:40 PM and I have no signs of leaving soon. I have had , in the past two weeks, like almost 30 hours of overtime (Cha-ching!!) I have , however, been lucky that my new position allows me the ability to doodle as I work, and as such, I have done two Weirdlings strips and 2 Sara: One Shot pages , all while amassing groovy over time!! Take that, “The Man”!! Now if I could just be awake when I actually see my wife and children…

Here is the first page of a 40 page one shot written by Strumhaus’own Noeland Collins and Marshall Dillon and drawn by little old me.This story takes place between Isuue #5 of volume one and issue #1 of volume two, during Phineus’ lengthy rcovery from the heart attack he sustained from Rotwang’s death spell at the end of Volume #1. (More on that later this summer as this issue will be added to the archives!)
