Phineus : Magician for Hire is the brainchild of creator Barry Linck. Phineus was created in 1987, of then a high school senior after reading too much of Matt Wagner's "Mage", too much Dungeon's and Dragon's and watching too much of John Carpenter's "Big trouble in LittleChina". Over the interviening years Phineus changed from angellic savior, to reluctant hero, to art student who finds he is a mage, until, in 1991, for a comic class at Edinboro University, he became part of a Husband and Wife paranormal investigations team, with Phineus' sidekick and wife Sara. Barry produced and self published from 1993 to the present 33 comics with our erstwhile heroes, garnering a small but rabid fan following.

I am proud to say I am no a part of the 7×7 Comic Phenomenon!

Cyborg priest, Brother Maynard and electric dwarf, Rugnar Grimm from the pages of Phineus are getting their own series over at 7×7! Maynard and Grimm are tackling otherworldly creatures that lead to a dark plot they must stop!

A group of like minded, Pittsburgh comic creators are joining together to give daily we comic goodness. Starting today, I am one of them!

Starting today and every Wednesday is Maynard and Grimm day at 7×7!

I join the ranks of creators such as D.J. Coffman, Mike Wood, Scott Hedlund, Angela Oddling, Ian Sharpley & Shawn Atkins.

Barry Linck is part of 7/7 Comics season 2!

Comicadia‘s own Barry Linck (Phineus, Phineus: Teen Wizard, Magician for Hire) has been added to the roster of 7/7 (7 over 7) Comics. Barry will be taking over the Wednesday spot, starting in season two, with Maynard and Grimm, two characters from the Phineus universe.

So, I’ve had to make some changes to the site. My membership plugin broke, so I moved all my bonus material off the site to my Patreon page.

Also, I moved the Classic Phineus off to my Drive Thru comics site.

Checking in…

The medical hiatus, unfortunately, continues. The pain in my hands from the car accident has continued to worsen and it hurts too much to draw, right now. I hope as I heal the swelling will come down and the arthritis won’t get much worse. Fingers crossed.

I’ll be back, as soon as I am able. Thanks for the patience.
