So, Raven Perez’s 5th anniversary post has gotten me thinking. I may not have the following that Raven has, but Phineus has been around a long time. He’s been drawn by me since 1987. The Phineus we know since 1991, mostly in self publishing.
Phineus first went online, with Brian Babyok’s Strumhaus site way back in 2002. I had a very poorly colored version of “Ruins of a Moonlit Landscape” up for a while.
In 2006, I started posting my back issues digitally on the same site and started posting on Live Journal.
Later that year, I set up on Comic Genesis, posting my back issues daily and then MWF as my buffer ran out.
I had my comic on Rampage Network, then Outland Entertainment, Wevolt and now Old Dying Kitty.
So, I’m old school at this. I’m not yet making a living at it, but I feel like I’m just now hitting my stride and making the comic Phineus was meant to be.
So, after 26 years as a character, 22 as a comic and 7 years as a webcomic, I’m just getting started…
