Phineus : Magician for Hire is the brainchild of creator Barry Linck. Phineus was created in 1987, of then a high school senior after reading too much of Matt Wagner's "Mage", too much Dungeon's and Dragon's and watching too much of John Carpenter's "Big trouble in LittleChina". Over the interviening years Phineus changed from angellic savior, to reluctant hero, to art student who finds he is a mage, until, in 1991, for a comic class at Edinboro University, he became part of a Husband and Wife paranormal investigations team, with Phineus' sidekick and wife Sara. Barry produced and self published from 1993 to the present 33 comics with our erstwhile heroes, garnering a small but rabid fan following.

  1. Alright. I got the goosebumps. it’s go time.

    Atrius is awesome… I want to work something out with ya!

    I’ve been behind in my personal life, trying to tend to a bunch of other things, took the last week of (im such a wretched lazy bum! LOL) and now I need to scrounge up that $10 for ya! LOL

    But to the point, I think I have my tory for the sasquatch cyborg now…

    It is a long shot, and it cannot be accomplished easily… But im pretty much convinced that the Raging Cyborg Squatch could move on to become Atrius’ own pet!!! LOL

    So what do you think? I’ll get to work on Geone’s story, his capturing and experimenting on the Sasquatch, and the subsequent chrono-portal that sends the ‘squatchborg into an alternate timeline: Phineus’ world… where I leave the carnage to you…

    Fair game, or do you think we ought to work something out here?

    1. Thanks! I like Atrius, too. Can’t wait to use him more in my world.
      As for everything else, I think Geone would make a great arch-nemesis for Karl the Bigfoot!
