>24 HR Comic Challenge Udate!

>This past Saturday, I attempted (and failed) the 24 hr comic challenge, here in Pittsburgh. We had a cool turn out, with @12 attendees all making comics!

I made it from 9am until 3:30 am, getting 10 pages completed of a new Phineus story! I hope to finish the story this week. I just had to split to get home and see my girls, and be awake to spend time with them and my wife.

We had a pretty great Drunk Duck presence there with 7 of us in attendance!

Now , I usually work fast, but John from Nonstandard assembly smoked me! , by 3:30 a he had 16 pages in the bag! This guys frigging awesome!! You go John!

We also had Scott, Dan , Brian
, Byron , and Mike and Cheryl . Plus a couple of people I really didn’t know. Good times, though!

I highly encourage this for every comic creator, especially with a group, the comradery alone is worth the lack of sleep!

Phineus : Magician for Hire is the brainchild of creator Barry Linck. Phineus was created in 1987, of then a high school senior after reading too much of Matt Wagner's "Mage", too much Dungeon's and Dragon's and watching too much of John Carpenter's "Big trouble in LittleChina". Over the interviening years Phineus changed from angellic savior, to reluctant hero, to art student who finds he is a mage, until, in 1991, for a comic class at Edinboro University, he became part of a Husband and Wife paranormal investigations team, with Phineus' sidekick and wife Sara.
